Low Ebbe play one of their craziest gig in a long time at the Chilli Arms, Heaton on Sat 4th July 09. Although originally booked to play a 30 min set the ‘Ebbe’ were only able to play 4 songs. Starting with a new song, ‘Captain Hook’s Spunky Backpack’ , the heat that had already built up in the room rose a couple of degrees to almost boiling point. Hook was quickly followed by crowd pleasers “Eating Nacho’s with the Devil” and “ Attack of the Yak”. Avid Ebbe’s will know that “I’ve got a Horse is” the crowning glory at the end of each set and this gig was no exception. Shouts of “Dee Horse” have graced gigs around Newcastle for a while and the lads from the Raging Sickness and Fratricide ( especially Scotty from TRS) went fucking mental. Cheers lads. The O2 gig last Thursday night was described as: Mad, Shit, Mental, Atrocious, Manic, Useless, Sublime Enigma….Horse Thanks for everyone who turned up and supported us. It’s been a week of firsts for us. Playing the O2, snapping two strings in one go in the middle of Nachos, playing to over 200 people, crowd surfers and a fucking big moshpit. As someone probably said “ the Fuck are these Idiots”? WE ARE LOW EBBE REMEMBER THE NAME |
